Reigniting Your Passion for Holiness
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."
(Matthew 5:6)Passion for holiness is reignited when we return to the source and tend what God has already placed within us.
In a quiet forest clearing lived a young fox who kept a small fire beside his den.
In the beginning, the fire burned brightly. Its warmth filled the clearing, and the fox loved to sit beside it each evening as the stars appeared above the trees.
But as seasons passed, the fox grew distracted. Some nights he forgot to add wood. Other nights he wandered too far and returned late.
Slowly the fire faded.
One evening the fox returned to find only faint red embers glowing beneath the ash.
For a moment he thought the fire was gone.
But an old owl watching from a nearby branch said softly, "The fire is not dead. It is waiting."
The fox gathered dry twigs and placed them carefully over the embers. Then he blew gently.
At first nothing happened.
But slowly, a small flame appeared.
The fox added more wood, and the flame grew stronger until the clearing was warm and bright once again.
The fox realized something important.
The fire had never truly left.
It only needed to be tended again.
Spiritual numbness often diminishes your passion for holiness, making it hard to desire righteousness. This chapter explores practical and spiritual ways to reignite your hunger for God and pursue holiness with renewed zeal.
"Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."
(Psalm 51:12)

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling me to live a holy life. I confess that my passion for You has waned at times. Please
rekindle my hunger for Your Word, Your presence, and Your righteousness. Help me to stay focused on You and to
live each day with intentionality and joy. Guide me in making choices that reflect Your holiness. In Jesus'
name, I pray. Amen.
