God’s Presence
Verse: “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)
Prayer: Lord, draw near to my child. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are with them even in their struggles.
There was a mother who stayed awake each night while her house slept.
In her hands was a small oil lamp. She did not walk the roads, fight enemies, or force doors open. She simply kept the lamp burning.
Some nights the flame was steady. Other nights it flickered low, and she had to refill it with oil, even when she was tired. She never knew exactly where her child was walking, but she believed this: if the path was dark, the light still mattered.
Far away, her child stumbled through unfamiliar ground. He did not see the lamp, but somehow the darkness never fully swallowed him. When he finally turned back, he realized something had been guarding his steps all along.
The lamp had not chased him.
It had waited.
And when he returned, it was still lit.
